It is common for infants and young children to fall and hit their mouths. When a baby tooth is chipped it generally does not need to be seen by the doctor immediately. Often the chipped portion of the tooth needs to be smoothed as a matter of comfort, but this can be done when it is convenient. Call if you are unsure.
